Fundraising Deposit Cheque ~ 2017-2018

RVCA Board of Directors has implemented a fundraising deposit policy.  This policy is consistent with fellow maritime Christian schools.

As a non-profit, registered, charitable organization, we want to continue to encourage families to support RVCA by challenging each family with a minimum goal of funds to raise.  Each family with children enrolled at RVCA will be required to write a post-dated cheque for the following amount,  Junior Kindergarten: $250.00 per student + $25.00/each additional child and Kindergarten – Grade 8  $400/1st child + $ 25/ each additional child and dated for April 30, 2018.  Cheque is due at registration.

Families are also welcome to do their own fundraising in order to help meet the minimum goal, such as a summer yard sale or quarterly bottle drive among friends and family.  After each fundraiser, each family will receive an updated amount that has been raised by their child/children and after the final fundraiser in April 2018, you will receive the final fundraising update for your family.  If the funds raised are less than the minimum amount, the post-dated cheque will be cashed on April 30/18, but if the funds raised are over the minimum amount, the post-dated cheque will NOT be cashed and will be returned to the family to be voided. 

We are very thankful for your continued support as we, the Board of Directors, aim to sustain the longevity of RVCA by keeping tuition costs as one of the lowest in the province.  In order to protect our school’s future, we need to challenge ourselves and continue to “help our school”.  We believe that RVCA offers a special opportunity to children and we want to continue to be able to offer this opportunity to families in the area.        

Fundraising Deposit/ Post-dated Cheque amount due upon registration of student:
Junior Kindergarten: $250.00 per student + $25.00/each additional child
Kindergarten – Grade 8:  $400.00 1st child +$25.00/each additional child.
Post-dated Cheque Date:  April 30/18

*If a family has child(ren) enrolled in Junior Kindergarten and enrolled in Kindergarten – Grade 8, only one Fundraising Deposit cheque is required per family:  $400.00 1st child +$25.00/each additional child.
